Vitality suddenly changed the strategy that was bringing them victories since 2024

Vitality surprised fans with an unexpected change in their approach to competing on the CS2 pro scene, and for the first time since PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 they will again participate in a tournament from this organizer although earlier they were deliberately avoiding it.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut’s team consciously skipped events from this tournament operator. Many analysts believe that this selective approach to the tournament schedule is exactly what allowed the team to become one of the most successful on the CS2 pro scene.

For almost 2 years Vitality missed all PGL tournaments including Cluj-Napoca 2025, Masters Bucharest 2025, and Astana 2025. However in 2026 the team suddenly changed its strategy and is listed as a participant at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 where they will fight for a prize pool of $1.25 million.

What this change in Vitality’s global strategy is connected with is unknown, but such a move made fans happy, because it may mean that the team will be seen more often at tournaments in 2026.
