Artem 'Fng' Barshak, the captain of
Virtus.pro, acknowledged significant communication problems and numerous mistakes during games within the team. The esports player believes that the roster has lost its identity.
This comment was made right after the game in the post-match interview at Riyadh Masters 2024.
“We feel kind of lost because we didn’t make it through to TI13 qualifiers. But the problem is not that we lose, but we lose ourselves in Dota. We make a lot of mistakes; there is no proper approach to fights. We fight a lot, which is good as it helps us grow. Hopefully, all this boot camping before this tournament will pay off one day and we will start playing Dota as we like it”
From his statement, he has stated that there are disagreements among players which have affected their performance since they failed to qualify for TI13. Despite this, he believes that what matters most is not their failure during qualifiers for The International 2024. According to Fng
Virtus.pro has lost its identity in pros Dota 2 scene but he expects this to change soon.
Before then, Alexander 'Nix' Levin had his own criticisms against
Virtus.pro on why they cannot win at Riyadh Masters 2024.
