Artem "Fng" Barshak, the captain of
Virtus.pro, admitted that the team played poorly at Riyadh Masters 2024 and many things within the team broke down. The pro player mentioned that a whole range of factors led to the team's disbandment.
During a Twitch stream, he revealed this.
“Semantically, we played poorly. In addition many elements broke down and failed. It is an all-inclusive process. Bad drafts, feed of the lane by me, bad calls and poor midgame plays—we were bad at everything. We couldn’t rectify it”
According to him,
Virtus.pro had issues throughout all aspects of the game. Fng also noted that his own performance was below average hence affecting the overall result.
“Maybe you thought wrong in terms of our capabilities. Riyadh Masters 2024 qualifier went quite well for us. Two weeks before TI qualis we could not stand on lanes , plant wards and make moves . Everything just stopped work ing . Why so? Too numerous points but does it make sense to name them? We just played badly and it has resulted into every problem”
With such results, he believes that there was no way his team would have qualified for The International 2024 as per Dotabuff (2017). He also does not see any essence in enumerating all reasons behind this failure.
