Virtus.pro - Russian cybersport organization during the quarantine ranked Top-3 in Europe and CIS in terms of prize money, percentage of victories and taken places in tournaments.
During the pandemic, all tournaments were forced to limit the list of participants by geographical principle, while Europe and CIS temporarily merged into one region. Since March 1, 2020, the main roster of Virtus.pro has played in 9 tournaments, and the youth team VP.Prodigy in 5.
Sergey Glamazda - the general manager of the organization commented on the results of the rosters during the coronavirus pandemic, highlighting that the teams achieved good results:
The quarantine period was a rather interesting experience: we simultaneously had reshuffles within one roster and another team appeared, where the players almost never saw each other live. From the side of figures and facts, the combined result of Virtus.pro in Dota 2 is more than good, but knowing the situation from the inside, we can say for sure that the guys expected more and trained for a different result. There were pleasant moments of victories, but second and third places were not very pleasing. Ahead remains the uncertainty of LANs and DPC as a whole, so we will squeeze the maximum out of the situation that exists.
