Vechernij Vlados: what will surprise viewers in the world's first Dota 2 show

Kazakhstani multi-talented Vladislav “BLACKARXANGEL” Ivashchenko, an esteemed Dota 2 player and Parimatch's ambassador is currently a trendsetter.

The first episode of his original show Vechernij Vlados, dedicated to Dota and everything surrounding it, has premiered on the PM Esports YouTube channel. Vladislav himself, along with the show's director and a representative from Parimatch Kazakhstan, shared insights into the project's development and future plans.

The show has just started. How do you feel as a host? Any nerves?

This is my first experience, and I must say that I am loving every bit of it.

Do you research your guests in advance?

Every guest needs a different approach and different preparation.

Do you get nervous?

Of course! The level of my concern for the final outcome is so high, I am genuinely nervous.

Who would you personally like to invite to the show?

To begin with, Solo, then Puppey and of cause KuroKy, that’s my dream team as I am a support captain myself.

How do you see esports evolving in the next few years?

The future is uncertain, but consider the frequency of tournaments, level of sponsorship interest, among other factors. How tournaments are broadcasted matters too. Our show has its part to play here as well! I’m positive many young talents will be catching up on episodes and figuring out what is required of them, so there is no chance to miss out on an episode.

What can the viewers look forward to in terms of episodes that are coming out soon?

To keep things fresh and engaging is always our goal, but I can already tell there is a great deal of exciting guests, unfamiliar segments, plus new audience engagement strategies. Moreover, anticipate more live reactions, improvisation, and even surprises for the guests themselves.

What is the behind the scenes work like? Is planning and organizing such a project difficult?

It’s a hive of activity! The hardest thing to accomplish is to stay on top of everything. There is teamwork as-well, scriptwriters develop the topics and then producers deal with guests. Once filming starts, it all comes down to the camera/operators and sound engineering/editing teams which contributes to the show’s complexity, but we enjoy it. The simpler part is preparation, after that it all depends on the mood in the studio.

Is there a possibility of recording episodes at tournaments?

It is very possible! We are excited about being on-site and closer to the action, so we might try backstage interviews or live reporting from the venue.

Are there plans for special episodes or different formats?

Of course! We are not trying to get caught up in a singular format. We definitely are going to have special editions, themed episodes, and joint productions with other esports projects. As always, it depends on what the audience is keen on.

WE love esports, that's a fact, and we're certainly not backtracking.
