Said Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, almost a year later, still hasn't been able to lift Valve's lifetime ban from his Steam account — even his status as a professional eSports player didn't help.
This is evidenced by the mark on his Steam page.
Despite the fact that SumaiL made his profile private, the VAC ban notification is still displayed. 340 days have passed since the ban in CS2. The pro player tried to appeal the punishment, but, apparently, the developers considered him guilty.

SumaiL himself stated that he hadn't logged into the game at all for several months and doesn't understand why he could have been banned. Fans suggest that the ban may be related to the new anti-cheat system that Valve implemented in the game. It is unknown whether the eSports player created a new account to continue playing CS2.
You could say that the situation is similar to the case when you were fined for parking, although you were not even in this city - you try to prove your innocence, but the "fine paid" sign still hangs on the door.
Recall that SumaiL received a lifetime ban from Valve back in 2024, which was a real shock for the Dota 2 community. After all, he is one of the most famous pro players, and he has never been accused of using cheats before.
