A major Dota 2 update will be released only after June 20 - this is allegedly indicated by a hint from Valve, published in the Spring Forward announcement.
This discovery was shared by streamer Dmitry “finargot” Plusnin.
"There will be no major updates in Dota 2 until June 20. This is due to the Spring Forward update and the fact that summer in the U.S. begins on June 20"
Streamer pointed to a telling moment from the developers' words in the last major patch, which explicitly stated that it's not worth waiting for major updates until summer.
"The only joy at this time of year is the (almost) unavoidable spring cleaning in Dota 2. In this regard, we have some good news: the update is out, it's called Spring Forward, and it's straight-up great! The bad news is that we won't be happy with anything else in the spring"
Finargot also noted that although calendar summer has already arrived, in the U.S. it technically lasts from June 20 to September 22. That's why he believes that we should not expect a major Dota 2 update before June 20.
Earlier Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov named a possible release date for Battle Pass in Dota 2.
