Dota 2 update

Valve released a new update for Dota 2, which did not meet the expectations of players: it did not contain content related to the anniversary of the game, which turned 12 years old on July 9.

As it turned out, the patch contained only minor interface and control tweaks, as well as light cosmetic updates to the models of several heroes.

List of changes:

  • Added a new option in the ping settings: now displays the delay before the ping wheel opens when ALT and LMB are pressed.

  • Updated hero models: Riki, Sand King and Viper.

  • Made changes to the MVP screens (including the Battle Pass line from 2021 and the screen from Drow Ranger).

  • Updated localization.

However, players were expecting something very different from Valve. Given the game's 12th anniversary, fans were hoping for a full-fledged update with new content or at least an in-game event - but that didn't happen.

Some Reddit users have noticed that Dota 2 test servers have recently become more active. This usually indicates preparation for the release of a larger patch in the near future.
