Valve unexpectedly praised the performance of a star player in the match against Team Spirit

Valve unexpectedly highlighted the performance of Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, a member of G2 Esports in CS2, during the BLAST Premier World Final 2024.

A comment to this effect appeared on BLAST Premier's official page on X (Twitter).

"He's pretty good at Counter-Strike", - the developers of the game praised the esports player in a reserved manner. They made this comment about a moment in the match against Team Spirit, where m0NESY won a tense round in a challenging 2v4 situation.

Although the praise was delivered in a rather restrained tone, the fact that it came from the developers speaks to the exceptional skill of m0NESY, who managed to impress even the creators of CS2. This is a rare occurrence, although Valve previously highlighted Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk among other esports players at The International 2023.
