Valve released a hotfix fixing a critical bug in
Doom Devil's Bargain aspect right in the middle of the
Aurora vs.
PARIVISION match at PGL Wallachia Season 4.
This was announced by Mark “Sikle” Lerman,
Team Spirit analyst, in his Telegram feed.
“Fixed a bug in Doom with the “Devil's Bargain” aspect that caused the redemption penalty to be charged twice (i.e. +40% always, not +20%). The hotfix was released back during the pause, but it wouldn't have changed anything”
Sikle noted that the developers fixed the bug right in the middle of the technical pause on PGL Wallachia Season 4. However, the analyst noted that even that didn't save
Aurora from the problem. The fact that Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko could not redeem due to the bug with
Doom, but the fix did not save the situation, because Sikle explained that the update did not affect the already started match.
Recall that earlier
Aurora refused to continue playing against
PARIVISION and withdrew from the match due to a critical bug in Dota 2.
