Valve announced an incredible achievement for Dota 2 this year

Valve stated that, this year, Dota 2 was played out on all seven continents, even on Antarctica where there are nearly no inhabitants other than those whose attachment to the game was found.

The developers shared this achievement in a welcome letter for The International 2024, which was published on Reddit.

"Over the past year, half a billion games of Dota have been played, representing players from nearly every country. Dota players have played on every continent, including Antarctica"

One should not forget that this is an envious success as there are no inhabitants in Antarctica, only occupation in research stations. During summer,4,000 people can research in Antarctica and sometime among this type there were fans of Dota 2. Only that Valve didn’t disclose which servers are their respective games being played from such regions, remote as they are.

Besides that, the game developers also said that there were around five hundred million matches played during the year which translates to about eleven million matches on a day, which is a remarkable statistic.
