Valve Has Allowed BC.Game to Qualify for the Major Despite the New Rules

BC.Game will be able to officially attempt to qualify for the Major in Singapore thanks to Valve’s rule update.

The relevant information is outlined in an update on GitHub.

Valve had previously introduced a rule prohibiting the use of region changes in CS:GO to secure a Major invite. According to this rule, a roster can be classified as belonging to a specific region only if it has not been listed on another region’s VRS list during the three preceding calendar months.

Following this, BC.Game published a lengthy post on social media calling on Valve to reset the team’s VRS rating. The team believes this would allow them to earn points anew and prove that they truly deserve to compete in the Major.
