Dmitry Korb3n Belov, who is responsible for
Team Spirit, claimed that
Tundra Esports may have aimed to sign Ilya ‘Yatoro’ Mulyarchuk rather than Anton ‘Dyrachyo’ Shkredov because they were very interested on learning the details regarding his LANS and contracts.
This was provided by him in a stream on Twitch.
"Zai already did a lot in Tundra. He was sort of an athletic director as an example Zai was the one who contacted us for players. I think I can say now, when he was asking those questions, he was indeed asking about Yatoro, and so on. There is this feeling that 33 has completely taken over Tundra. He was asking about Yatoro: when will he come back? What are the contract circumstances? etc. I do not know whether he wished to have Yatoro, but he was inquisitive. And, actually, the roster as I understood it, this was mostly being built by Zai before 33”
Korb3n explained that he thinks Ludwig “Zai” Walberg before Net “33” Shapiro must have been on the
Tundra Esports roster construction and was asking Team Spirit about Yatoro. The manager stated that Zai might have asked some information, but he does not know if Zai was really keen on bringing the two-time world champion to play carry in the new roster. Nevertheless, the team was seeking information on Yatoro, his return and getting clear on the contract, which means that Tundra Esports was interested in him instead of Dyrachyo.
It would be also correct to say that Zai might look at Yatoro as a carry player, while 33 may want Dyrachyo to play that position. Nevertheless, the club has not made any statement in regard to Korb3n’s comment.
Remember that it was previously established that Yatoro did not plan to depart from
Team Spirit regardless of his lack of activity.
