Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek, former support player of
BetBoom Team, has been actively playing Deadlock after going inactive. The Dota 2 world champion referred to Valve's new game as an improved version of Dota 2.
He shared this during a stream on Twitch.
"Playing Deadlock is really fun. It's one of those games you don't mind spending a million years on, like Dota, for example. You can just enjoy playing. It's like Valve is trying to fix all of Dota's downsides in this game. For instance, the problem where millions of people pick the same hero and ruin games. You can see in these little details that a lot of thought went into it. Why can't they do the same in Dota?"
The player mentioned that he truly enjoys the matches in Deadlock and feels that Valve has done an impressive job with the project. TORONTOTOKYO expressed surprise that the developers don't address issues in Dota 2 as quickly and effectively.
Considering that Deadlock recently introduced ranks and a rating system, many Dota 2 pro players might transition to the new project, potentially forming a pro scene for Deadlock.
It’s worth noting that Deadlock recently added 11 ranks, each with its own unique medal.
