Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, a two-time International champion who exited the pro scene for good, has made a surprise return to the game once again.
His Steam stats go on to explain this case quite eloquently.
Just over seven hours of gaming could be found in the two week history of the legendary esports player at Dota 2. This is where the mystery lies - there has been no record of him relying on matchmaker. He last took part in a match back in The International 2024 over three months ago.

What exactly did he do in the game over that span without hopping into public matches? Almost certainly, custom games. For instance, Magomed ‘Collapse’ Khalilov, another two time world champion, has also done this and invited Miroslav ‘Mira’ Kolpakov to play with him.
Who knows maybe Topson could change his mind and get onto the pro scene again. Nevertheless, the esports player hasn’t revealed any claims or announcements regardings this.
