Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen believes that the Dota 2 meta is characterized by a fast pace during The International 2024 tournament. The cybersportsman believes that
Team Liquid and
Gaimin Gladiators are better adapted to play in such conditions than other teams.
The
Tundra Esports player shared his opinion on the Twitch broadcast of The International 2024 tournament.
“I think it's a 'fast meta' right now. At least it was in the last patch, and I don't think the last update changed anything much. I think the meta will stay about the same. The fast teams like
Team Liquid and
Gaimin Gladiators will be pretty strong.
Team Liquid looked really strong.
Gaimin Gladiators always have a hard time in practice matches, but they eventually figure things out. I think these two teams will be the toughest opponents.
Of course, there's also
Team Falcons and
Team Spirit. I don't think this meta suits them, but they're really, really good and so they'll figure out how to counter this or how to play it. I'm only guessing what the meta will be like at this TI. It's going to be auras and 30 minute games. That's how I think it's going to be.”
At the end of the TI13 group stage,
Tundra Esports finished second in Group B, having drawn all three of their main matches in a row. However, the team defeated
G2 x iG in a re-match.
Tundra Esports will play against
Heroic in the decisive match that will determine the team's position in the playoff grid.
Recall that earlier Alexander “Nix” Levin evaluated the performance of the
Tundra Esports lineup after the replacement of Edgar “9Class” Naltakyan with Martin “Saksa” Sazdov.
