Vadim “Evelone” Kozakov decided to cancel his idea of hosting a CS2 tournament with a $1 million prize pool because of a clash in dates with the HLTV Awards Show 2025.
The streamer talked about this on his TikTok channel.
“I currently have a lot of contacts of professional players. I just don’t want to annoy them. I tried to organize a tournament and I did it. Everything was fine but then the dates shifted initially it was January 5–6 and then it became the 6–7. On top of that half of the rosters dropped out. It turned into a situation where many people need to go to the HLTV Awards”
Evelone emphasized that he really tried to organize the tournament and even invited several well-known teams but eventually decided to cancel it. According to him he had contacts with famous players but chose not to bother them considering the awards ceremony. It is worth noting that before the cancellation it was announced that four Major finalists from Budapest would take part in the tournament.
It is also worth mentioning that Evelone himself is invited to the ceremony as a nominee in the Streamer of the Year category.
