Valve seriously weakened
Batrider in patch 7.41c, and the hero almost immediately became one of the biggest losers of the update.
After the patch, the hero’s winrate dropped to 45.00%, which is a massive -5.16% compared to the previous version of the game. Right now, this is one of the worst stats among all Dota 2 heroes.
The developers hit several key aspects of the hero at once.
Batrider’s base movement speed was reduced from 320 to 310, making it much harder for him to dominate lanes and look for early kills.

Valve also nerfed almost all of the hero’s core abilities:
Sticky Napalm
Building damage from Aghanim’s Shard reduced from 25% to 20%
Firefly
Damage per second reduced from 25/50/75/100 to 20/40/60/80
Flaming Lasso
Total damage reduced from 200/350/500 to 125/250/375
Players say the Flaming Lasso nerf hurts the most, since the ability now deals way less damage in fights and is much worse at quickly killing key targets.
With the current meta shifting toward tankier cores and mobile heroes,
Batrider also started looking much weaker overall. Many players have already stopped picking the hero in matchmaking, and his popularity keeps falling fast.
