The most popular game on Steam has been named beating Dota 2

Counter-Strike 2 has become the most downloaded game in the entire history of Steam. The total number of installs of the shooter has exceeded 318 million which is an absolute record for Valve’s store.

This statistics was shared by the GameDiscoverCo portal.

Second place in terms of downloads is taken by Dota 2 with 222.6 million installs and third place went to PUBG which was downloaded 169.6 million times. The top five most popular games also include Team Fortress 2 (100.4 million) and Apex Legends (70 million). The most successful paid game in the ranking turned out to be PAYDAY 2 it took ninth place with 39.4 million downloads.
