The traditional Late Game show at The International will not take place this year. Instead, the host will be recording interviews with TI13 participants.
This was announced by the show's host, Ted "PyrionFlax" Forsythe, on his X (Twitter) page.
"Just to clarify because I saw a post on reddit - there is NO late game this year. I am doing player interviews. ty"
Many fans in the comments were disappointed by this turn of events. PyrionFlax had hosted Late Game at TI11 and TI12, but this year, the traditional show has been dropped for some reason. This came as a surprise since the program was well-received by Dota 2 fans, with entire teams participating in The International appearing as guests on the show.
It’s possible that this is an attempt to transition the show into a new format, focusing not on blitz interviews with entire teams but on more in-depth interactions with individual Dota 2 pro players.
It’s worth noting that
Team Spirit previously discovered a hidden message in Valve’s announcement dedicated to the World Championship.
