The International 2023, TI12, groups have been revealed. In a rather unexpected last-minute move, Valve has unveiled the four TI12 groups. As usual, the groups aren't always balanced, and there's one particular group that looks more dangerous than the others.
Who are the favorites in each group?
Group A:
Team Spirit;
9 Pandas;
Evil Geniuses;
Team SMG;
Entity.
In Group A, the clear favorites are Team Spirit. The young TI champions have shown excellent results in Dota 2 recently, closing out the DreamLeague Season 21 finals with a 3-0 score against Shopify Rebellion. They also secured a victory at the $15 million Riyadh Masters before that win.

Group B:
BetBoom Team;
Team Liquid;
Thunder Awaken;
Azure Ray;
Shopify Rebellion.
Group B is the group of death, featuring a collection of strong teams that makes it difficult to predict. In Group B, there are many formidable teams that can compete with each other, and any outcome won't be a complete surprise. Results-wise, Team Liquid stands out as the favorites. They have been remarkably consistent this year, with their only setback occurring in the grand finals.

Group C:
Virtus.pro;
LGD Gaming;
Gaimin Gladiators;
Nouns;
Beastcoast.
There's no doubt in the next group. Group C is undeniably overwhelmed by the presence of Gaimin Gladiators, the three-time Major champions of 2023. This Dota 2 giant has completely dominated the year, and although they seem a bit shaky heading into TI12, GG always delivers when it matters.

Group D:
Tundra Esports;
TSM;
Talon Esports;
PSG Quest;
Keyd Stars.
And last but not least, Group D. Despite much attention being focused on the newly merged PSG Quest, the favorites of the group have to be Tundra Esports. This is a lineup of TI champions, and on top of that, they are now led by Topson, the two-time TI champion who is visibly eager to secure another Aegis.
TI, in general, is always unpredictable, but it's often safe to assume that those who dominated the entire year will lead the way. However, teams can sometimes surprise with their performance during the tournament.
