Team Spirit's new coach made an ambiguous statement after the team's defeat

Alexander "Accell" Litvinenko, the recently hired coach of Team Spirit, claimed that after the performance outcome of the last tournament, he was not going to be a part of this team. However, he also emphasized that no decisions were made in any way, so he could remain with the team after all.

He posted this on his Telegram channel.

“This was most likely my last tournament with Spirit, but there’s still no decision on that – everything is pretty cloudy, but that doesn’t really matter. Just want to say that these last two months were really exciting for me. Yes, we did fail to get any remarkable achievements, but I saw enough that there are still teams and there are still organizations I would want to work with”

He said that the winning experience gained during the two months with the two-time world champions of Dota 2 was great but he probably does not see himself as a coach of that team anymore. Accell also elaborated on the fact that his chances of making a big difference were very low, mainly thanks to the close tournament calendar.

“With regard to my professional side of things, I’m only disappointed for I was able to do so little. We weren’t able to meet at a bootcamp for at least 7–10 days because over the last two months we have been continuously playing tournaments. To put it bluntly, I was not able to help the guys out sufficiently and with the absence of a bootcamp I did not have much to offer. The team is a work in progress. This is surely true even theoretically we would have been able to resolve all the issues, but the effort would have been made (have done something like that in earlier teams, and it work to a degree). Another element that brought out its own issues to the work process was that the roster was provisional and is expected to have a lot of alterations”

He also stressed that changes of rosters in rounds were very determining factors of the result. Accell pointed out that the composition will change again as it already has an impact on the results. He thanked all those who contributed their support and said that he rested until the new year.

Looking at his cryptic words, it looks like he will probably be replaced by a sitting out coach Airat "Silent" Gaziev.

Earlier in their addresses, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov the captain of Team Spirit, said there will be changes in the team.
