Dmitry «Korb3n» Belov noted that all streamers on Twitch inflate their audience, citing participants of the best streamer award, where Alexander «Nix» Levin took part.

The Team Spirit manager said this during a livestream.

«All streamers boost their online numbers. Look at the award… Ah, ok, I won’t say anything. In general the boost is 20%, this percent is almost impossible to catch»

According to him, everyone who streams as their main activity inflates their online. He said there are special mechanisms, and it’s no secret that not all of a streamer’s audience is real.

He added that usually about 20% of viewers are bots. He explained that even though this number seems high, it’s almost impossible to track. Probably he meant that chat activity won’t stand out much despite the viewer count.
