Team Spirit, like many global clubs, has a resident psychologist named Alexander "Nokeepeesh" Kuznetsov. Alexander discussed the differences between esports and traditional sports, noting that esports athletes dedicate much more time to training each day. He gave an interview to the escorenews portal.
Nokeepeesh on the differences between esports and sports:
I can talk about the differences from regular sports. In my opinion, esports involves a much larger workload. It may seem paradoxical to some. In traditional sports, training directly related to a specific discipline may last for two to three hours a day, followed by stretching, overall physical conditioning, and other types of work. Therefore, not everything is directly connected to the sport itself.
Nokeepeesh on training in Dota 2 and CS:
In games like Dota 2, the training mostly consists of playing. Yes, you can watch replays and analyze specific aspects, but in terms of volume, esports training revolves around gameplay. The same goes for CS: you are constantly playing. There might be some target practice or other activities, but it feels like the volume is much larger. No athlete trains for 16 hours a day in the long run. But in esports, they do.
Team Spirit is currently the top-ranked Dota 2 team. Since their establishment in Dota 2 in 2015, they have earned $27,249,259 in prize money, which is one of the best records overall.
Earlier, we reported that Team Spirit player Yatoro has undergone a significant transformation.
