Team Spirit suddenly called BetBoom Team just a tier-2 team

Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsaev, a streamer for Team Spirit, stated that BetBoom Team is only a tier-2 team that doesn't measure up to tier-1 level.

He shared this during an interview with Esports.ru.

“The European region stands out for its level of play. In the CIS, there is only one tier-1 team — Team Spirit. BetBoom Team doesn't measure up. I would say they are somewhere between tier-1.5 and tier-2”

That was strange because this Dota 2 season saw them become the first team to secure a slot at Riyadh Masters 2024, and their roster has demonstrated high quality results, having finished highly in tournaments.

Also, according to Illidan, Team Spirit is Tier 1 while the rest of them are extremely inconsistent and would be glad if they can get to top eight on any LAN tournament.
