Team Spirit stated the existence of a hidden MMR ranking in Dota 2

Mark “Sikle” Lerman, an analyst for Team Spirit, claims that every Dota 2 player possesses a secret MMR, which means Valve resetting the official MMR will have no effect on the public game matchmaking system.

He elaborated this point in a new video on the team’s YouTube channel.

"Everyone has hidden MMR. You’ll just start in the same places, but the numbers will be devalued, and you’ll still be in the same spots, and nothing will change"

Sikle went on to share that, “Everyone has hidden MMR. It’s like starting in the same place, however, your MMR will be hidden so you’ll still be in the same brackets and nothing will change.”

“You can do whatever you want, even officially abandon games, let's say, every 15 games, and nothing will happen to you. If they introduce a system that punishes leavers, feeders, and other bad players, it will be much cleaner and more convenient to play, everyone will think”

He suggested that additional levies for leavers, feeders, and match ruiners would instantly improve the overall experience for players when it comes to matchmaking and would greatly enhance how the entire system functions.

In the past Team Spirit claimed they already have a probable release date for the new Dota 2 patch, so keep that in mind.
