Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov believes that the problem with the software for finding Dota 2 tier-1 players is the lack of statistical indicators to determine that a player will prove himself worthy of being a part of a tier-1 team.
The
Team Spirit manager shared his opinion on Twitch.
“The problem with softs in Dota is that in Dota there are no statistics that would allow you to determine whether a player is a cool player or not, well there are no such statistics, that's the problem. I mean, you can pick out certain aspects, but there's no statistics that work.”
According to Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, with the help of specialized software it is possible to find tier-2 players with good statistics, but such stars of the pro scene as Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov will not be found by such programs.
Team Spirit's manager believes that there are a lot of such players on the pro scene who perform well in tier-1 teams despite not having the best stats.
“I mean, you can find a lot of tier-2 players who have the stats of KDA there, everything else, it's going to be super, but it's a tier-2 player. And there are tier-1 players. Look at Anton Dyrachyo's stats. Dyrachyo, well it's already obvious, it's like a super incredible starter and so on and so forth. Do you think the program could find Anton Dyrachyo? I think no. Well, and there are so many such options.”
Recall, earlier Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov said that he is playing League of Legends for now, taking a break from Dota 2.
