Team Spirit announced that the team’s Dota 2 coach, Airat “Silent” Gaziev, has been moved to inactive status. He left the team shortly after Denis “Larl” Sigitov.
This was reported on the club’s official Telegram channel.
“We inform you that starting today Silent is being moved to inactive. We thank Airat, a legendary coach who with his ideas and leadership helped the organization rise to and remain at the top of Dota 2 for many years. During his time in Team Spirit, Silent proved himself not only as a great professional, but also as a good friend and teammate.
We are not saying goodbye and wish Airat success both in his professional career and in his personal life. Follow upcoming announcements and continue to support Team Spirit”
Judging by the team’s statement, Silent is currently on the bench and will not continue coaching the squad. It is also stated that fans can expect a new announcement soon, where the club will likely introduce a new coach for
Team Spirit.
So far, neither Silent nor the organization have commented on the reasons behind this decision, but it may be a consequence of
Team Spirit’s decline in form and unstable tournament results.
