Several Team Spirit players may take a break to rest after The International 2023. Therefore, at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, the team will play with several substitutes.

This statement was made by Team Spiritt Dota 2 manager Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov during a Twitch stream.

"One of the players will be resting until January - that's already for sure. I won't say who it will be, relax. I just don't even know if it's okay to talk about it or not. Of course, we will play with a substitute. The question is how many substitutes there will be"

He also emphasized that the team may even consider skipping the tournament if there is no permission to play with two or more substitutes. However, Team Spirit does not want to miss the ESL tournament as it provides points necessary for Riyadh Masters 2024.
