Team Spirit refused to take part in a prestigious tournament

Team Spirit decided to skip PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026, where the best CS2 teams in the world will play, and refused to participate in the tournament.

This became known after PGL announced the list of participants.

It is not exactly known why the club decided to refuse participation, but together with them Team Liquid will also skip the event. Notably, all top teams from the VRS ranking will compete, so Team Spirit’s decision surprised many.

The prize pool of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 will be $1,250,000, so strong competition is expected at the championship. A total of 16 teams will fight for the title.
