Team Spirit refused to participate in a prestigious Dota 2 tournament

Team Spirit has officially opted not to compete in the DreamLeague Season 26 tournament, hence Team Liquid will replaced them.

The tournament organizers have claimed so on their X (Twitter) account.

As reported, the organizer’s planned to offer Team Spirit a invite to the an online tournament, but after accepting offer, they decided to forgo attending and hence their spot was given to Team Liquid. Although it is uncertain, the team taking a breather before the ESL One Raleigh 2025 is certainly an option.

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov does appear to think highly of this tournament which leads me to believe the team wants to save up their energy in anticipation of this event, so they can truly dive deep in to the competition.

This isn’t the first time Team Spirit faced controversy, amanger claimed that this wasn’t the first time they made an attempt of eliminating Team Spirit from a tournament.
