Team Spirit streamer names build for MMR farming in Dota 2 patch 7.40b

Kamil “Koma'” Biktimirov stated that the developers have significantly weakened Aghanims Shard on Monkey King, but recommended an alternative build for MMR gain in patch 7.40b for Dota 2.

The Team Spirit streamer shared his idea on Twitch.

"Aghanim's Shard on Monkey King has been heavily nerfed. The jump effect is now reduced by 35%. You used to be able to farm quickly with it, but now that it deals 35% damage... it's very little. So, what's the idea behind the build? You held your lane well, bought Battle Fury, your hero wants to farm a little, but at the same time there are fights going on. So you bought Battle Fury and crits, went and fought with the guys.

After that, if you realize you can play gredier, you buy Aghanim's Scepter. With it, you can destroy the T2 tower, you can play as the Tormentor, you can play under Roshan. If you realize that it's too greedy and won't work, you buy Black King Bar. Then you buy him Aghanim's Scepter and finish off Daedalus. You can easily buy these items in the middle of the game at the 27th minute.

You have a lot of damage, you can stand in place if you're not shot down in a second. Or even if you've spent your arena. For example, you spent your arena, the guys raided, but you don't care because you have your macaques with Aghanim's, and you're ready to fight. This item allows you to break objects, farm quickly, and not be afraid that you've used your ultimate.

Here you can buy either Abyssal Blade or Eye of Skadi — some additional item that will give you control or survivability. Either Abyssal Blade or Eye of Skadi, or very rarely Nullifier. Let's say Eye of Skadi. Then you can buy Aghanim's Shard. The most important thing is to buy these items as quickly as posible. Literally 3 minutes for each slot, because the hero farms very quickly. And with the last slot, you either buy Swift Blink if the game is adventurous, or if the game is average, just buy Refresher Orb.

How can you play without attack speed? Because you build strong macaques. Your entire build is based on your macaques becoming strong. Crits work on monkeys, Eye of Skadi works on monkeys. Your build is not based on buying Silver Edge and buffing yourself, you play from the “arena” and from the monkeys."

As a result, the build is built around a strong mid-game and pressure through ultimates, rather than around solo farming and late game. Monkey King with Battle Fury, crits, and Aghanims Scepter joins fights early and quickly punishes mistakes on the map. Thanks to the monkeys, the hero remains useful even after the arena is spent, continuing to deal damage and destroy objects. The key idea of the build is not to drag out the game, but to realize powerful item timings and constantly force fights on the oponent. This approach allows you to steadily gain MMR in patch 7.40b by playing agresively and at a fast pace.
