Korb3n commented on the state of matchmaking in Dota 2

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated about the improvement of the rating system and matchmaking in Dota 2 after the wave of bans of MMR boosters, which significantly spoiled the quality of matches.

The Team Spirit manager shared the relevant opinion on Twitch.

"The rankings have just become normal now. They banned a bunch of boosters and everything else. The rankings are a lot better than they were four months ago when every other game had boosters. It's straight up playable now."

Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov believes that there is no point in making changes to the system, which is already working effectively, but noted that the developers should not have made the statistics of rating matches hidden, which makes it much more difficult to work with analytics. The Team Spirit manager also believes that the rating system in Dota 2 could use a seasonal reset, but he disagrees with the opinion of players who sharply criticize it.

"Why change the rankings if it's working? They've already done one thing, that now you can't watch publicks, scouts' job is oh so complicated. This is a dumb change, really. Hopefully they'll roll it back when they fix that bug, the vulnerability that makes it impossible to watch CW. Overall, the rating is pretty workable, what else is there to change?

Seasonality, of course, could be done. You could come up with some other pluses, but the rating as a tool is working. And it has become much better than it was. Players also complain, but I don't share their opinion. This is the standard whining that was in 2014-2015. Now the rating is okay."

Recall that earlier Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov advised heroes to dial MMR on low rating.
