Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, said that the current workload on professional Dota 2 players is so high that even the best eSports players are burning out and becoming inactive after a few years.

He said this during a live stream on Twitch.

"Inactive players have inactivating because they are tired. It's saddening whenever veteran cyber-athletes ask ‘What, players get tired?’ so here's the thing: The workload during the ancient times of e-sports with NAVI, Vitrus.pro and such is nothing as to what is happening today"

He stated that eSports has evolved into a demanding profession; it is no longer as it once was. It has shifted to a professional job with an entire staff, psychologists, and a strict regimen. He also mentioned that players now practice for 12 hours a day with rehearsals back-to-back. The schedule is so packed that there are only two weeks between the World championship and the next competition for means of preparation.

“Earlier, you could be like NAVI, a sole powerhouse in Eastern Europe, but now that has shifted. Dota has evolved more into the game of the team rather than the game of one. Not to mention, the stakes are much higher. Invariably, people get exhausted”

He also made an observation regarding some of the changes that have occurred within Dota 2. There is no longer a case of winning a game by oneself owing to the fact that team work has been emphasized.

Let us remember that previously, Team Spirit manager reported the return of Mulyarchuk Ilya “Yatoro” and Kolpakov Miroslav “Mira”.
