Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsaev, a streamer for
Team Spirit, expressed dissatisfaction with the state of Dota 2 ahead of The International 2024, claiming that the game is being managed by just a handful of people, while most resources are focused on the new project, Deadlock.
He shared this during a Twitch stream.
"With all the recent news, it feels like Dota is being handled by one and a half people, while all efforts are being directed towards Deadlock. Well, I hope it doesn't end up like Artifact"
According to him, the game currently has many bugs, despite TI13 being just days away, such as the gold exploit with
Hand Of Midas, because Valve is focused on Deadlock. Illidan hopes that Dota 2 won't meet the same fate as Artifact, another Valve project that failed to achieve the popularity of Dota 2.
It is worth noting that Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov recently revealed that strict rules are in place within
Team Spirit.
