Team Spirit completely went off the rails as they lost 1320 EPT points against ESL in the 2023 Dota 2 International leaving the team with a daunting total of only 3080 points to be able to get a direct invite for the Riyadh Masters 2025.
All of this came to light after ESL proceeded to make an updated EPT leaderboard for Dota 2 teams to be able to have a better scope of things.
As a result of changing their roster twice at the start of 2025, Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk and Magomed opponent “Collapse Khalilov” were brought back resulting in the team losing a lot of points and them having to forfeit some.

Even after losing all those points they still managed to hold their own and not drop further down in the rankings with the team now sitting on fifth place, while also making note the gap between them and team liquid hiked up by 1670 points. Obtaining one of the top four places in the EPT ranking makes it easier for the rest of the players to get a direct play stage invite without needing to go through the regional qualifiers which is a bonus for all of these championship level players.
Another team that went through some embarrassment were the
Tundra Esports, the loss of 382 points caused the team to drop down to seventh place in the rankings but that still managed to pair the team with a standing they were happy with.
This reminds me of when Quinn “Quinn Callahan” made some bold allegations against
Team Spirit while making a conversation about Alhan “Satanic” Gallyamov.
