Mark "sikle" Lehrman, an analyst for
Team Spirit, explained that in the new patch 7.37d, despite several significant changes, the meta auras were not heavily nerfed, so they will remain popular. Additionally, certain melee heroes will become the real power in the meta.
He shared this in his Telegram channel.
“Say goodbye to the meta of ranged carries and brawlers, let's pay our respects to Lone Druid and welcome some melee heroes. Auras haven’t really been nerfed, so we’re still here enjoying them. However, now we have the wonder Spirit Vessel, which we had unjustly forgotten”
According to Sikle,
Lone Druid will lose his former popularity, as he was a true matchmaking powerhouse in Dota 2 before the nerf. He also predicts a rise for several melee heroes. The analyst emphasized that Valve has once again weakened auras, but not critically, so many builds from the previous meta will remain popular, although they may change slightly.
Recall that Valve previously released patch 7.37d, which transformed the meta and finally nerfed Ringmaster.
