Team Spirit CS2 coach, Sergey "Hally" Shavaev, admitted that the team declined the invitation to ESL Pro League Season 19 as they were on a break and applying for visas for another tournament. This is why they turned down the invitation.

He made this revelation in one of his vlogs on the club’s YouTube channel.

“We had a small rest and also applied for visas to America – that is why we did not go to EPL. We spent about ten days on boot camp and then trained online for another week. We feel fine. Everything will be ok”

It should be mentioned that ESL Pro League Season 19 is one of the biggest tournaments in CS2 with a good prize pool of $750,000 but it still hasn’t replaced Cloud9 who disbanded. Team Spirit was among the first contenders for their place, but instead decided to take some time off.

Recall earlier Star player from Team Spirit CS2 line up received permanent ban due to violation of Twitch platform rules.
