Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, manager of
Team Spirit, explained that his team refuses to participate in DreamLeague 26 due to an overloaded tournament schedule and they want to rest before Riyadh Masters 2025.
He revealed this during a broadcast on Twitch.
“People are pouring out of DreamLeague because they want to rest after a busy season. Then right away comes the Riyadh Masters 2025, which is very important. Let's say you play at DreamLeague, which ends at the end of May, and Riyadh starts at the beginning of July. There will be one more tournament before that. As a result, you already have to prepare for Riyadh. The vacation will be 10 days. Two weeks at the most. And some people want to take three weeks off and so on”
Korb3n explained that the season is extremely busy and Dota 2 teams literally had no time to rest. The manager emphasized that several teams, including
Team Spirit and
Tundra Esports, withdrew in order to give their players a proper rest and also to have time for quiet training before Riyadh Masters 2025.
It is worth noting that
Tundra Esports finally explained why they refused to play at DreamLeague Season 26.
