Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov called the announcement of
Virtus.pro's new roster an ingenious multi-pronged move, as the team got the former
Chimera Esports roster and also covered some of the costs through the transfer of Sergey 'G' Bragin to
Aurora, after which they will be able to sell the bench players profitably. Korb3n also believes that
Virtus.pro was lucky to get a slot in the MESWA region to qualify for DreamLeague Season 26.
The
Team Spirit manager shared his opinion on Telegram.
“Vp came back with some ingenious multi-player moves.
They bought the Chimera roster, but some part of the payment was in the form of an unnecessary VP asset, I mean the coach, that's what VP did when they took Rodjer from NaVi and gave him to Lil.
Virtus Pro's roster now has EPT points.
VP now has a foundation in the form of Onejay and Lorenof, who come into the lineup as young and ready players.
Both players on the bank are easily marketable as positions are scarce, and there are willing players on the market.
Playing in the MESWA region, smart abuz of TO rules.”
However, Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov suggested that the team may have to replace Nikita 'Daxak' Kuzmin with Evgeny 'Noticed' Ignatenko, which makes it not worth rushing his transfer.
“If I were VP, I'd hold Noticed pending full clarity with Daxak, so as not to buy out some offliner later for the price of a new porsche 911 gt3 rs.”
Also Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov sees flaws in Virtus.pro's new roster, as he believes it has been plagued with problems that caused Chimera Esports to announce a disbandment. Moreover, the roster won only one of the two qualifications in the MESWA region, which the Team Spirit manager considers not the best result. Dmitry 'Korb3n' Belov is also confused by the lack of a clear leader in the team, except for Nikita 'Daxak' Kuzmin.
“If we reason without emotions, then of course this transfer also leaves questions.
Chimera disbanded officially, so it's essentially a signed stack with problems.
This is the same squad that won only 1 out of 2 qualifications in MESWA region, and they will have to play qualifications for tournaments from PGL in western Europe.
Lack of a captain, except for Daxak.”
