According to Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, Team Spirit manager, the squad did not secure an invitation to the BLAST Slam #2. He stressed that this judgement is independent from the recent roster Dynamics and moreover, he informed that he will not be tuning in to the tournament.

He shared this concerning his Telegram channel.

"Team Spirit and AVULUS did not get invited to BLAST Slam #2. The absence of an invitation is a non issue with the roster changes. An overall feeling from the final team lineup is like invites could have been purchased (THIS IS A JOKE). I will certainly not be watching the tournament this one makes me mad"

Korb3n stated that the participant list is a bit strange, as the lesser-known teams were also invited but Team Spirit and AVULUS were not included. The fans also pointed out the oddity in that Nigma Galaxy, for instance, who has not won a Dota 2 tournament in a while, has been extended an invite.

The pre-invites given to Yakult's Brothers and Talon Esports raised a lot of eyebrows for sure, but the reasoning behind the organizers actions remains to be determined as there have been no official statements yet.

An interesting development is that Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev has recently revealed who was behind his sudden shake up in Team Spirit.
