Team Spirit unexpectedly defended a BetBoom Team player at The International 2024

Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsayev, streamer for Team Spirit, unexpectedly defended Danila "gpk" Skuitin, the mid-laner for BetBoom Team, who was harshly criticized by Alexander "Nix" Levin for his performance at The International 2024.

This happened during a Twitch stream.

"I don’t think Nix is right about Gpk. Honestly, I don't believe Gpk is just working on his KDA. You can say whatever you want about him, but the guy is really just trying to play well, in that sense"

This came after Nix accused gpk of providing little impact for his team and focusing on his own statistics during matches. However, Illidan disagrees and believes that the mid-laner is genuinely trying to perform well and show his best at TI13.

Illidan's defense of Gpk is quite surprising, especially considering he had previously referred to BetBoom Team as "bots" and had been particularly critical of Yegor "Nightfall" Grigorenko for his performances in Dota 2 tournaments.
