Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov stated that he doesn't like the Dota 2 matchmaking update and also believes that it was released because of the API keys scandal.
The
Team Spirit manager made the corresponding statement on Telegram.
“The matchmaking update is delusional, probably made because of the scandal with api keys and the Chinese site, when it was possible to inspect all matches including sql. I don't see any other sense in this update.”
Also Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov doesn't believe that the update was released to increase interest in watching games, because firstly, he doesn't believe in the fact that developers care much about the interest of the audience, and secondly, he sees many other ways to make matches more exciting.
“It's funny to read someone writing that Valve did this to increase viewing interest from games or that it's a step in the right direction, some blatant sycophancy. First of all, I don't think Valve doesn't care about your interest, which is logical, because they have all the cybersports on contractors. Secondly, there are a million options to make matches more exciting, and the option of banning statistics is the most stupid.”
Recall that earlier Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov spoke about the new rules of the Riyadh Masters 2025 tournament.
