Team Spirit becomes The International 10 champions

Team Spirit became The International 10 champions defeating PSG.LGD in the Grand Final with the score of 3-2. For the first place, the team from CIS received $18,208,300, the Chinese team took home $5,202,400.

Team Spirit made it to The International 10 from CIS regional qualifiers. At the group stage, the team finished 4th and passed to the upper bracket of the playoffs.

In the first match of the Main Stage, Team Spirit lost to the Chinese team Invictus Gaming with a score of 1-2 and fell into the Lower Bracket. However, the CIS team decided to repeat the success of Team Liquid at The International 2017. They methodically kicked Fnatic (2-0), OG (2-0), Virtus.pro (2-1) out of the tournament, took revenge on Invictus Gaming (2-0) and prevented Team Secret (2-1) from reaching the Grand Final.

In the Grand Final, the young team faced the strongest team from China with legendary coach xiao8. However, PSG.LGD could not prepare for the opponent, lost the draft stage on all first two maps and made mistakes in the game. However, on the 3rd map PSG.LGD took good heroes, pulled into the late game and won. On the 4th map, the Chinese team completely defeated Team Spirit with a score of 23:2. Everything was decided on map 5.
