Mark “sikle” Lerman believes that before the Dark Carnival is released, the developers will remove one more hero from Dota 2, after which the event itself will be released.
The
Team Spirit analyst shared this opinion on Telegram.
“As much as I’d love for it to launch today, I suspect they’ll remove someone else soon.

The ‘_bb’ at the end of the file names definitely refers to Bristleback. He’s next.”
Acording to a statement by Mark “sikle” Lerman, the analyst sees a reference in the game files suggesting that
Bristleback will be the next hero the developers will make unavailable.
It’s worth noting that Valve previously made Axe—who will be the main hero of the Dark Carnival—unavailable for selection in matchmaking and demo mode in Dota 2. The hero was later returned to the game with numerous bugs, after which he became unavailable again for several hours.
