Team Spirit analyst names the imbalanced hero in the current Dota 2 meta

Mark “sikle” Lerman named the hero Tidehunter as the imb in the current Dota 2 meta due to his level 20 talent.

The Team Spirit analyst made this statement on Telegram.

“Several things are currently being actively pushed: 1) Tidehunter is the patch's imbalanced hero due to his level 20 talent, which automatically triggers Anchor Smash when his innate ability is activated; 2) Nyx Assassin is the counterpick to this patch's imbalanced hero due to a bug.”

According to Mark “sikle” Lerman, the character can be countered by exploiting a bug on Nyx Assassin. However, the Team Spirit analyst believes that the developers will soon weaken Tidehunter and fix the bug on Nyx Assassin to improve the quality of ranked matches.

"The first one should be fixed soon, otherwise pubs will be a nightmare, and the win rate will only skyrocket, as was the case with the Dragon Knight bug. The fix can be done either by hidden recharging or by moving the talent to level 25 (which requires a letter patch, so most likely option 1). The second point is also easy to fix."

After the release of patch 7.40b, Anchor Smash now deals 50% less damage when activated and is considered reflective damage. However, the hero's win rate on the offlane remains high. And the bug on Nyx Assassin has not been fixed.
