Clife commented on the new reload mechanics

Anatoly “Clife” Averkov believes that the developers have made Counter-Strike 2 too realistic following the update to the weapon reload mechanics.

The Team Spirit analyst shared this opinion on Telegram.

“I don’t think the update will have a major impact on the pro scene. It was very rare for anyone to fire a full magazine in a single round. However, the game will lose some of its spectacle, as there will be fewer of those incredible shots through textures and through-the-wall shots into smoke that viewers love.

The game should remain a game. In some respects, it shouldn’t be made too similar to real life.”

According to Anatoly “Clife” Averkov, it isn’t always necessary to make the game more realistic, as the new mechanic won’t significantly impact the pro scene but will make matches less spectacular.

In the new update for Counter-Strike 2, the developers changed the mechanics so that remaining rounds in the magazine now disappear after reloading the weapon.

As a reminder, Valve previously released an update for Counter-Strike 2 that revamped three maps.
