sikle commented on Steam hacks

Denis "sikle" Lerman believes that malicious code embedded in author's applications may be the reason for the increasing number of Steam account hacks. He recommends all media personalities to close their profiles and remove any suspicious software.

The corresponding opinion of the Team Spirit analyst published in a personal Telegram channel.

"I read news about Steam account theft and remember how long ago they posted an article about malicious code in many customizations. Valve after time and outcry rolled out a fix, but if I were a media personality I'd still close my profiles and delete all customizations, just to be safe."

Recently, a number of prominent members of the Dota 2 gaming community have experienced hacking from their Steam accounts. Streamer Sergey "LenaGol0vach" had his account stolen right during a live broadcast. Following him, streamers Timur "TraVoMaN" Khafizov and Vladislav "SilverName" Sinotov reported a similar problem. Also Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov's girlfriend, Eugenia "Sony9sha" Elizarova, complained to fans that her account with all her stuff was stolen, but Gaimin Gladiators carry player then helped her to solve the problem.

Recall that earlier Denis "sikle" Lerman found a critical bug on Enchantress after the release of patch 7.37.
