William "Blitz" Lee, the coach of Team Liquid, stated that Samuel "Boxi" Svahn wears dark glasses and a hoodie at The International 2024 not for show, but due to health issues.

He shared this during a Twitch stream.

"Why does Boxi dress like this? He has very sensitive eyes, so he wears special glasses at boot camp. Almost all tournaments have excessively bright lights, and Boxi pulls up his hoodie to shield his eyes from the glare. Some people think he is being disrespectful or trolling, but it's simply about avoiding the light"

Blitz emphasized that while photos of Boxi's new look have become popular, it's actually a necessity due to his sensitivity to light. According to the coach, the player has extremely sensitive eyes, and the powerful lighting at tournaments forces him to wear a hoodie and dark glasses.
