Team Liquid has suddenly announced a change in the captaincy of the team

William "Blitz" Lee, the coach of Team Liquid, announced that the new captain of the team is Neta "33" Shapira, whom he referred to as one of the best offlaners in the world.

The statement was made in one of the interviews at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.

"Our new captain is 33. I like working with him. He's a botanist in a good way. Before the match against Gaimin Gladiators, he said they are awful. He instills confidence in us. 33 won TI, he is one of the best offlaners in the world"

For some time, this position in the team was held by Aiden "iNSaNiA" Saroka; however, it seems that 33 is considered more experienced, so he was chosen to lead the team. The former Tundra Esports player has indeed shown excellent gameplay and even helped Team Liquid defeat their longtime rivals, Gaimin Gladiators, eliminating them from the tournament.

Nevertheless, earlier Blitz mentioned that 33 has some adaptation issues within the lineup, as he is trying to change the team's playing style, which is not an easy task for everyone, hence he asked the fans to be patient.
